Rooted in the present.

Honoko is a Brooklyn-based ceramic studio founded by Mina Rafiee, after leaving a career in architectural. Her hand-built objects are crafted with mindfulness for daily use. Like the ritual of morning coffee. She is inspired by architectural forms and movements, Japanese flower arrangements, nature, and Persian art. She loves to surprise and delight her collectors with playful, unexpected flourishes. Each piece is bespoke and she works in thematic, limited editions. Her process embraces the natural imprecations in clay and glaze. This philosophy of wabi-sabi dances in unison with her practice of mindfulness — all based in the intention of creating serenity for those who interact with her work.
